Now I offer regular prenatal yoga classes at AABC South (2500 W William Cannon Dr #503, Austin, TX 78745, second floor) every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

In a future I plan to open postnatal yoga classes as well (please, contact me if you are interested).

Prenatal yoga

This class is a gentle flow-style yoga, meaning that we connect breath and movement and flow through poses. Every class combines strengthening, stretching, toning, breathing and relaxation techniques to offer relief from the common discomforts of pregnancy (e.g., lower back pain, headaches, swelling in ankles).

 Feeling better physically will empower you in preparation for labor and birth. Through yoga, breath, meditation, and discussion you will develop confidence and nurture your inner wisdom to connect with your baby and enjoy this magical time.  Begin at any point of your pregnancy, no previous yoga experience is necessary.

You do not need to be AABC client to participate in these classes! No yoga experience needed.

I plan to open these classes in April, on Saturdays at AABC South (somewhere between 10am and 2pm).

This class is focused on postpartum health, to remedy common post-pregnancy issues. I work with diastasic recti, pelvic floor strengthening, relaxing neck and shoulders, keeping spine straight and healthy, bringing back your strength. You can bring your baby with you, but remember this class about you and your health. This class is very gentle, so pregnant woman also can attend.

Ask permission from your health care provider before class! You may start about 8 weeks postpartum.

Austin couples yoga

Couples yoga

This is the workshop for couples to practice yoga together, learn some basic massage techniques to relieve muscle tension during pregnancy, practice different comfort measures for labor, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation.

It’s 1,5 hrs yoga together plus 30 min of discussion and answers on your questions. It’s a great way to connect with each other as you prepare for birth.

Better to attend in third trimester, but all couples are welcome!
Workshop cost: $70/couple

Pay at the time of the first class. ​I accept Venmo (@Anya-Casteel), cash or checks payments.
Please bring water and your own yoga mat. Wear comfortable clothing.
Please do not wear strong perfumes.

I also offer private customized prenatal yoga classes (in Austin, TX). You pick the time and date and I come to you for a full 60 minute class that is specific to your growing body’s needs and your baby.
